Dogs on the Beach in Italy: What to Know Before You Go

Not all Italian beaches allow dogs. Generally, there are three possibilities:

  • Equipped Dog Beaches (paid access) with services for animals.
  • Authorized free beaches with designated pet areas.
  • Non-regulated beaches, where bringing your dog may result in a fine.

For your holiday in Sardinia, it’s best to choose beaches officially marked as dog friendly.
