Besides the spring climate and the sea, Alghero offers the opportunity to experience Holy Week with ancient and evocative rituals, immersing yourself in nature and savoring local culinary specialties.
Our 3-day itinerary will guide you through Alghero, Castelsardo, and Bosa, combining outdoor activities, cultural visits, and relaxing moments.

Day 1: Alghero
Stay active during your holiday
Start your day with a guided kayak tour along the Alghero coast, or rent an e-bike to visit Capo Caccia Park and Neptune’s Caves. Discover the Coral Riviera from a unique perspective and release the stress accumulated during winter.
Typical lunch
A must-stop is Focacceria Ballarini in Fertilia to taste the Sardinian focaccia filled with "Nonna Pia".
Winery visits
After lunch and a siesta at Bombarde Beach, at 5:00 PM, enjoy a free visit to the Sella & Mosca winery, the most famous in Sardinia, with a tasting of the island’s finest wines. Alternatively, explore Alghero’s historic center with wine tasting.
Holy Week rituals and dinner
In the evening, in the historic center lit only by torches, watch the evocative processions with ancient costumes worn by confraternity members, making each celebration intense and mysterious. Many restaurants offer typical Easter menus, including Catalan-style lobster and Algherese paella.

Day 2: Castelsardo
Outdoor excursions
Take advantage of the day for outdoor sports: horseback riding at Porto Ferro or a visit to Lago Baratz. Sardinia is a magnificent open-air gym to fully enjoy your Easter holidays.
Strolling in the medieval village
In the afternoon, just 60 km north of Alghero, Castelsardo offers the captivating ritual of the Mysteries. By torchlight, the procession moves with confraternity members in white robes and hoods.
Typical dinner
Stay in the village until evening to taste traditional dishes and festive sweets along the historic center streets.

Day 3: Bosa and Surroundings
Easter rituals in Santu Lussurgiu
For those willing to go further, Santu Lussurgiu celebrates the Easter triduum with devotion, organized by local confraternities.
One of Italy’s most beautiful villages
Before lunch, visit Bosa and enjoy Sardinian delicacies in a local shop or pastry. Have lunch in a small restaurant in the town center with seafood dishes accompanied by excellent Malvasia wine.
Dreamy landscapes
On the way back, drive along the scenic road from Alghero to Bosa, surrounded by Mediterranean scrub—a perfect route for cyclists and to catch the breathtaking sunset at Capo Caccia.
